Vinyl Plank in Cozy Townhome

This vinyl plank was a nice alternative to wood flooring for this homeowner whose foundation is a concrete slab. The vinyl is soft, quiet and comfortable yet there is no sacrificing style with this choice. The overall coloring is just the right mix of grey and brown tones so that it’s versatile with any color scheme. The herringbone carpet pattern on the stairs adds life to a cozy staircase.

Luxury Vinyl Plank in New Construction

This luxury vinyl plank flooring looks like real hardwood without the expense or the maintenance. This homeowner wasn’t bashful about running vinyl throughout the entire main level, even into his bathroom and laundry areas. A win-win for easy care and stunning style.

Tailored Carpet in Two Story Home

I love the style of this carpet. It is a low profile (short texture), but still feels luxurious and soft. This homeowner wanted a high-end style that would not flatten on the steps or show wear paths in the bedrooms. A modern color updates the spaces and the “California wrap” on the steps offers a custom touch.

Cambria Bathroom

Cambria’s Berwyn is the star of this bathroom! Choosing to splurge on Cambria, the rest of the space’s materials were kept neutral and timeless. A white subway shower surround and a staggered 12 x 24 stone washed tile offers a minimal foundation and allows the Cambria to feel special. A new vanity, dual wall sconces, and custom mirror complete this bathroom update.

Wire Brushed Oak Hardwood

I love the slight distressing of this 5″ wide, wire-brushed, oak hardwood flooring. It adds just the right amount of texture to provide depth and style. It also hides everyday wear and tear which makes this type of texture a family favorite for kids and pets. The overall feel is modern and rustic.

Contemporary Carpet

This homeowner wanted to add life to their family room by choosing a carpet that is interesting, upscale and modern in style. For the bedroom and steps they wanted to add pizzazz and verve by choosing a modern design in a commercial construction that would not flatten or show wear.

Plush Carpet

The goal for this project was to add color to the walls and keep the carpet simple. A traditional plush style in a Stainmaster nylon is timeless in style and durable enough for pets. This style also “wraps” nicely in open steps like theirs.

Strand Woven Bamboo

This home owner wanted a sustainable flooring that would pair well with her eclectic furnishings. The foundation we chose was a stranded bamboo in a wide plank format. Choosing a buttery, wheat color, the entire space looks upbeat, cheerful, and modern.

Gray Maple Hardwood

This homeowner replaced a berber loop carpet in this sun room with beautiful 5 inch wide maple hardwood in a modern grey color. Seeking design advice for a flooring that would complement their existing pickled wood walls, Christina made the final selection after a bit of a search. The end result is fabulous.

Amendoim Hardwood

These homeowners were looking for a hardwood floor that would blend with their existing maple trim. Brazilian Oak, or Amendoim, is a unique hardwood that has a lot of style.

The inherent color variation in its natural state allows you to blend with different woods; light, medium or dark. This color variation also hides a lot of wear and tear. Harder and more dense than a domestic red and white oak, it’s more dent resistant than many other hardwood floors.

Textured Carpet Runner

This carpet was selected for its style and durability. A heathered, cut and loop design, this carpet won’t show footprints and will hold up under heavy foot traffic. This green-grey color looks different in every home!

Carpet and Vinyl Plank

This space was redesigned to add new life to an old brick fireplace. We selected a soft texture for the carpet in a warm, sand tone to keep this lower level light and fresh without feeling cold.

Birch Hardwood

These home owners waited over 30 years before they decided to do a major renovation. Choosing hand-sculpted birch floors in a wide-plank, solid construction was a smart choice. The grain is subtle, the distressing is slight, and the color is a neutral medium brown. Opting for a style that is considered more “timeless” they were able to participate in the current trends without losing sight of this overall objective.

Nylon Seagrass Carpet

An alternative to natural sea grass, this nylon style looks like the real thing and won’t stain or feel brittle under your feet. Unique to this style is a tea-stained, color wash effect that mimics natural sea-grass like no other style.

Grey Oak & Cut/loop Carpet

This home was remodeled to suit the more contemporary tastes of the homeowners. Choices included a mosaic back splash, a quartz counter top, a short cut and loop carpet, and a wire brushed (slightly distressed) wide plank oak flooring in a warm grey color tone. Painting the original red brick was a finishing touch that completely transformed this space.

Porcelain Tile

A traditional 12 x 12 tile size in a classic beige stone design never goes out of style. A straight grid installation with a modern, narrow grout line that blends in color was chosen to keep the look clean and updated.

Wide Plank Maple

This client no longer wanted carpet in their lower level. They chose a hardwood floor with an old-world style that would look rustic yet traditional with their furnishings. This wood is a wide plank maple (8″ wide) with an antiqued stain treatment (called a “french bleed.)” This treatment leaves the edges and the pits darker than the overall color of the plank.

Rubber Tiles

Rubber flooring is the perfect fit for this exercise room. A vibrant red paint color was selected for the walls to increase energy and set this room apart from the rest of the home.

Oiled & Smoked Oak Hardwood

This is a gorgeous wide plank, oiled oak hardwood. This style is a smoked style that exhibits a lot of color variation. It also is heavily hand scraped and has a lot of knots and “character” inherent in each board which adds a rustic and casual feel to this home’s fresh color scheme.

Karastan Trellis Carpet

This sun room needed a soft, luxurious, traditional carpet in a deep color tone. A warm, olive green helps this room feel like an extension of the outdoors. An ultra silky fiber, this carpet will show footprints and vacuum marks. But under your feet it is pure bliss!

I used FOD to renovate the flooring in my loft. I was thinking about cork but Logann Burns suggested a better alternative, which we had not considered but now love. They also carpeted the stairs. As there were several layers of flooring that needed to be removed above the sub floor, Bruce came out to take measurements and make suggestions (which we passed onto our other contractors). I talked to a number of flooring people in the course of our renovation, and Bruce was the most knowledgeable flooring person I ever met while also being an excellent listener. We’ve had the floor for a year now and love it.

Our experience with them was so much better than the other flooring people we talked to. When we talked to flooring contractors, they didn’t listen to our requests and pushed products we were actively disinterested in. When we went to other flooring stores, it was difficult to find someone to talk to about our options.

We were so happy with their work on our first project that we scheduled them to redo the flooring in the basement. Once again, Logann listened to what we wanted for the space, discussed our options, listened to our concerns, and helped us once again choose a product not originally on our radar. We are much more excited about his suggestion than we are about the product we were originally going to choose and would have chosen if we were doing this all ourselves. If we were doing another flooring project in the future, they would be the first people I talked to.
